Exhortations of Christ :(Introduction)

Updated: Nov 23, 2022

'Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness among the people.' (Matthew 4:23) Just as the Father gave Jesus the divine mandate to preach, teach and to heal (Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 4:17-19), even so Jesus gave his disciples the 'Great commission' to preach, teach and to heal. "As you go preach this message: The Kingdom of God is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead ... drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:7-8) "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20) "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." (John 20:21)

Teaching has to do with the 'principles of God' while exhortation has to do with the 'goodness of God'. The knowledge about the 'principles of God' equips us for our life on earth while the knowledge of the 'person of Christ', assures us of a life in heaven. We need to listen to both the teaching and exhortations of Christ to know the whole counsel of God. Welcome to my new website: www.exhortationsofchrist.com/ which is intended to supplement my other website: teachingofchrist.in The timeless words of Jesus have encouraged the hearts of many through the ages and it still does today! May His words encourage our hearts today! Amen.
