61. Keep the love.

Sam Matthews. K

"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm till the end will be saved." (Matthew 24:12) Jesus didn't warn the unbelievers who didn't have the love of God in their hearts, rather believers, of the coming 'Apostasy' or 'abandonment'. "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8) Even Paul warned the Church: 'Mark this -There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money ... not lovers of good ... but lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying it's power.'(2 Timothy 3:1-5) What steals love from our hearts is the world. 'Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.'(1 John 2:15) Looking at the Pharisees who seemed to be zealous for the word, Jesus said, "I know you do not have the love of God in your hearts"(John 5:42), because they were so worldly.(Luke 16:14) The word and the world cannot exist together in our hearts! "The seed that fell among thorns stand for those who hear but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it and by persevering produce a crop."(Luke 8:14-15) John in his vision at Patmos saw the resurrected Christ walking among the seven golden lampstands, which are the seven churches and he heard him say, "Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love." When he comes, he will be looking only for one thing: The fruit of love! Keep it till the end! Do not abandon it!
