"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) The whole idea of creation was born out of love and for love, that when it fell short of his ideals, he didn't hesitate to redeem his creation with love. Our creator being the true lover of our souls, couldn't stand to see us perish but jumped into action. 'He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked out salvation for him and his own righteousness sustained him. He put on righteousness as his breastplate and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.'( Isaiah 59:16-17) This salvation was hard-fought and it costed him everything - even his life! We can't help but stand in awe of this great display of love! 'Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.'(John 3:1) If creation was the display of his wisdom, then redemption is the display of his love. Just as his wisdom is unsearchable, the love of God is unfathomable, that it would take us all of eternity to comprehend it! 'And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.( Ephesians 3:17-19) Amen.
