"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17) Sanctify (Greek: hagiazo means 'to set apart for sacred use; make holy'.) Those whom he has consecrated or set apart for the truth, he will sanctify them or make them holy by the truth. All who have come to believe the truth are meant for sacred use. Therefore Scripture says that 'he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.' (2 Corinthians 5:19-20) If we have come to believe the truth, then we are obligated to tell others about it. "For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you and they believed that you sent me ... As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world."(vs 8,18) Every believer is a foot soldier of the Gospel and we need many more boots on the ground to bring in the harvest, on a war footing, before its too late! "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matthew 9:37-38) Come on! Join in! Remember, if you have come to believe the truth, then you were set apart to be 'useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.'( 2 Timothy 2:21) Amen.
