*'Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.'* (John 1:3) Its hard for many to believe that Jesus is the maker of all things! Yet that's what Apostle John believed! So did Apostle Paul, when he wrote: *'For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things hold together.'*- (Colossians 1:16-17) The *LORD God* (Yahweh Elohim) who *'formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life'* - (Genesis 2:7), turns out to be Jesus! But the second person of the Trinity was never known as *"Yeshua"* or *"Jesus",* until he took on the form of a man. So to say, *"Jesus is the creator",* might unsettle many but as *"Yahweh Elohim,"* he was the maker within the godhead, the Father being the One who commands and the Spirit being the source of power. *'For you created all things and by your will they were created and have their being .."* - (Revelation 4:11)
But the world that he created did not recognise him! *'He was in the world and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him. He came to that which was his own* ( the Jews) , but his own the Jews) *did not receive him.'* - (John 1:10-11) He pleaded with them to believe atleast on seeing the miracles but they accused him of blasphemy! *"Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said,'I am God's Son'? Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father."'* - (John 10:36-39) In one instance, Jesus was seen creating from the dust what was missing in a man born blind! *'He spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva and put it in the man's eyes.'* - (John 9:6-7) That should have reminded the onlookers of the maker but it didn't! Instead the Pharisees investigated the matter and concluded *"he is a sinner"* - (vs 24) because *"he does not keep the Sabbath."* - ( vs 16) Little did they know He was *'the Lord of the Sabbath!'* - (Matthew 12:8)
In another instance he was found blowing on them the Spirit. It might have reminded the disciples of the creator who blew into the nostrils of Adam and he became a living being. *'The first man Adam became a living being, the last Adam, a life giving spirit.'* - (1 Corinthians 15: 45) Now, here he was breathing on them and their dead spirits came alive! *'He breathed on them and said, "Receive* (*"Re"* means *once again* and *"-ceive"* means to *get*) *the Holy Spirit."'* - (John 20:22) These two instances reveal that he was in fact the person who made man and blew into his nostrils the breath of life because *'in him was life and that life is the light of men.'*- (John 1:4) He went around giving life *'for just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.'* - (John 5:21) And when he completed the work he was assigned to do, he said, *"I have brought you glory in earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now , Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. "* - (John 17:4-5) Amen.
*Who do you say Jesus is?* - (Matthew 16:15) Your answer will decide your destiny!
