27. Divine appointment.

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God."( Matthew 5:8) This is the blessed hope of our hearts and the end goal of our faith we are waiting to achieve but many will miss this glorious moment because their hearts are not purified! 'We know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.'(1 John 3:2-3) Only those who dare to come into the light of the gospel today will be able to face this 'unapproachable light' on that day. 'Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light.' (John 3:20) Let's therefore come even more into the light today 'so that it may be seen plainly that what we have done has been done through God.' (3:21) Let's ' make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.' (Hebrews 12:14) 'Since we have these promises, dear friends let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.'( 2 Corinthians 7:1) Amen.
