21. Coming Kingdom.

Updated: Aug 29, 2021

'From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."( Matthew 4:17) When Jesus heard that John was put in prison, he began where John left, proclaiming the greatest message of reconciliation the world has ever heard: 'That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.'(2 Corinthians 5:19) A visa for all who repent, to enter the kingdom of heaven ! Jesus, in turn entrusted the ministry of reconciliation to his disciples and said, 'As you go preach this message: "The kingdom of heaven is near"' (Matthew 10:7) 'And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.'( 2 Corinthians 5:19-20) Many have been persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and killed for preaching this greatest offer 'but God's word is not chained!'( 2 Timothy 2:9) Let's pass this message of reconciliation to others today, who desperately need to hear it as it is our only hope to escape the chaos in this world caused by the devil and his cohorts. "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."(Acts 2:40)
